A Seemingly Small Journey

A seemingly small journey as the train chuckles on
Reveals in itself, a world of splendor and charm
Rip-roaring fast, the train cuts through
Each fleeting landscape, another breathtaking view

Clouds spread far, clouds spread wide
Clouds crack hard; cry like a weeping child
Knowing no limits, knowing no bounds
Hiding the sun with courage profound
A blanket of white mist giving me chills
Numerous streams piercing down hills

Hamlets dot the magnificent weather
Envious I am, yet calm as a feather
Watching stray cows lazing in a field
Basking in water, oblivious of speed

Lush! The colour green, as she spreads herself
Across the mountain ranges, dwarfing all else
Soft green grass, kissing mother earth
No space to leave a footprint in the dirt
So sheer is this colour, so magnificent this sight
My return to reality crashes me to my plight

Why cant I be that house in the way?
The cow that doth graze; the tree that doth sway
An experience like this is all that I treasure
Few moments of bliss, a lifetime of pleasure

This seemingly small journey will end in a short time
And yet remains endearingly frozen in my mind.
